ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

This training course (TC) is dedicated to the promotion of non-violent actions and the development of peace initiatives. The project will gather young people from several Western and Eastern European countries such as Norway, Georgia, Greece, Armenia, Romania and Azerbaijan.
The TC will cover different types of conflicts and in different settings and consequently ways of transforming conflicts by non-violent actions. The emphasize is placed on foster a constructive debate on recent conflicts in Europe and cooperation in the youth field. This is done by promoting non-violent approaches leading to actions on peace-building. Moreover, young leaders will discuss the significant role of youth participation in grass-root peace-building initiatives.
The trainers and invited experts will share practical and theoretical knowledge on the topics, through plenary sessions, discussions, workshops, creativity sessions, intercultural & interactive exercises and other non-formal educational methods. Essential throughout the TC is the input and experience sharing from participants.

Project Objectives
The following objectives have been set in order to implement a successfull training course and to target the above stated problems:
• Deepen participants’ understanding of key concepts of conflict management and peace-building and non-violent actions.
• Familiarize the participants with concepts and approaches of non-violent actions i.e. how to use it best and adapt it to local contexts and realities in order to promote peace building.
• Motivate participants to advocate non-violent actions.
• Review and enhance participants’ competences (knowledge, skills, attitudes) in working as trainers, multipliers, and activists on peace building using non formal education tools.
• Enable participants to develop activities and programmes for training multipliers in conflict transformation and non-violent actions, at international, national or local level.
