ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
This seven-day training course, taking place in Bakuriani, Georgia, brings together 30 youth workers from 10 countries
to address challenges and opportunities related to migration and mobility in Europe. Issues such as East-West
migration, European mobility programmes, internal EU migration as well as raising awareness of the challenges of
international migration and the role of young people in it will be discussed. As a result of the training course,
participating youth workers will gain knowledge and skills necessary in developing migration and mobility-related
projects in their countries and communities. The course will use a number of non-formal learning methods and
resources, including Council of Europe Compass Manual and EU Migrant Integration Handbook. Participants will also
benefit from a rich local activity programme including a visit to local civil society organisations.

The project’s main objectives of the course are:
– To analyse the impact of East-West migration on European societies after the fall of communism
– To facilitate and exchange of experience and good practice in youth work, related to European migration and mobility
and its influence on young people in EU and EECA/EaP countries, with particular focus on sending countries and their
co-operation with hosting countries
– To identify links between collapse of the Soviet bloc and today’s social change in Europe
– To train youth workers in addressing the challenges and opportunities resulting from migration with young people in
their community
– To promote European co-operation between youth organizations in the field of migration and youth mobility
– To develop new initiatives in the field of migration and mobility for young people within the framework of the
Youth in Action/Erasmus Plus Programme as well as outside of it

Participating Countries: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, Portugal, Greece, United Kingdom and Netherlands
